MTL Conference
The METAL Montreal (MTL) Conference is dedicated to the future of human-centered automotive design. This project features a comprehensive visual identity system, including a logo, brand guidelines, business card, and conference applications that together establish a bold and inclusive design language for the event.
project overview.
This visual communication design project focuses on developing a complex and cohesive visual identity system for a conceptual conference. I designed a human-centered automotive design conference that focuses on how inclusivity and accessibility can be integrated into the field. The goal was to create a distinctive brand identity and apply it across a wide range of materials for a conference. This project challenged me to think critically about how design reflects the tone and purpose of a professional event, while also addressing the technical demands of real-world application. Through logo design, identity guidelines, and branded collateral, I crafted a cohesive visual language that brings the conference experience to life.

design process.
The project began with defining a conference theme and name, followed by research and logo ideation through sketches and digital refinements. The final logo was chosen for its versatility and impact. I then built a full visual system of color, type, and graphics that was applied across digital and print materials, including a program, poster, lanyard, and more. The identity was documented in a brand guidelines manual and presented as a cohesive portfolio.
